I was given the opportunity to undertake a live project at University for the interior company ROMO. Within this project I worked in a small group of mixed specialisms where i focused on creating the woven samples. During the project we came up with a concept idea, colour palette and researched trends to inspire us and create a final collection of samples consisting of weaves, prints and embroidery's. From this project I learnt how to work in a design team, make decisions and work to a company brief.
Within my drawings I wanted to create lines and shapes that would translate nicely into weave structures and samples. I kept the colours quite playful within my sketchbook which I later toned down when choosing yarns so that the colours were more suitable for the brand.
